Roofing work we do

• Full roof replacement. Tear-off down to the roof deck, then new underlayment and a new shingle roof.
• Roof repair and leaks. Finding where the water gets in and fixing it, including flashing around chimneys, vents and skylights.
• Rotted wood under the roof. Fascia, roof plywood and rafter tails replaced before the new roof goes on.
• Gutters and downspouts. Old gutters removed and new ones installed with the roof.
• Insurance roof work. Help with roof work your insurance company or a home inspection says you need.

How a roof replacement goes

1. Free assessment. A project manager inspects the roof and writes the estimate. That person stays your contact until the job is done.

2. Permit. We file the city permit. Most re-roofs in the Bay Area and San Diego County need one.

3. Tear-off and wood repair. The old roof comes off to the deck. If there is rot underneath, we show you and add the repair to the job in writing before the new roof goes on.

4. New roof. Underlayment, flashing and shingles, plus gutters if they are part of the job.

5. Final inspection. The city inspects the finished roof and closes the permit.

Warranty

Roof replacements carry a 10-year workmanship warranty, plus the shingle manufacturer's own warranty. The written terms come with your contract.

A recent roof job

In Vacaville we replaced two roofs on one property, 25 squares on the house and 78 on a second building, repaired the rotted fascia and roof plywood found during tear-off, and put up about 180 feet of new gutters. Yes. Roof replacement and repair can be financed on approved credit. You repay it in monthly payments.

How do I know if I need a new roof or just a repair?

The free assessment answers that. A project manager looks at the shingles, flashing and the wood you can see, and tells you which one the roof needs.

What if there is rot under the old shingles?

It gets replaced before the new roof goes on. We show you what we found and add it to the job in writing first.

Do you pull permits for roof work?
